Cookie Science began the way a good story might — curiosity, love, a lot of butter, and...a little frog named Pickle 😃
We're Lijun and Maia, a couple who loves baking and creating, and who one weekend — in an attempt to ease our late-night cravings — ended up experimenting in the kitchen, sharing big dreams and (as one might imagine) making a lot of mess along the way, too 😃
We started sharing our homemade goodies with family and friends, whose encouragement inspired us to keep exploring and playing around with new flavors.
Then came Pickle — an American bullfrog we found one chilly autumn evening, nestled beside a leaf on the sidewalk. We brought her home, kept her warm and well-fed, and just like that, our little family grew 😃
From then on, every baking session became filled with quirks and whimsy: two of us, up past 2am, covered in flour and tired but happy — with little Pickle watching from her tank as we baked.
Eventually, we realized we wanted to take things further, to bring these warm feelings to life beyond the kitchen, beyond our lives, and so Cookie Science was born.
For us, Cookie Science is about bringing memories, comfort, and stories — one treat at a time 😃
As for Pickle, well, don't let her tiny self fool you. She's always hungry :D
